Product descriptions can be drafted with AI, but material, size, compatibility, and warranty claims need a trusted source. A product photo alone cannot establish all of these facts. Separate visible observations from verified catalog attributes.
A practical scenario
For a chair, a photo may show a dark finish and curved back. It does not prove the wood species, weight capacity, or certification. Supply structured dimensions, materials, SKU, and approved warranty text. If an attribute is missing, omit the claim or send it for completion instead of inviting the model to guess.
Design the first version
Use a defined output schema for title, description, features, and language variants. Validate units and required fields. Keep SKU and variant relationships stable across translations. Review drafts before publishing and record the source attributes used so changed product facts can trigger updates.
What to test and measure
Evaluate factual errors, unsupported claims, duplicated descriptions, and reviewer time. Check that important product information appears in the page HTML and that images have meaningful alternatives. Helpful copy answers buyer questions; repeating a target phrase throughout the page is not a substitute for complete product data.
Questions to resolve before commissioning
- Which source system owns the facts used in this workflow?
- Who reviews exceptions and corrects inaccurate output?
- What baseline and acceptance criteria will determine whether the pilot is useful?
- What should the user do when a source, tool, or device is unavailable?
